Old Market Street is made up of a block of condemned or burned-out buildings that once served as the commercial district's center of commerce. Abandoned for the newer, more modern shops of Main Street, Old Market Street fell into disuse and disrepair.
Unsavory elements from outside of the town itself came in and snapped up the abandoned property, turning them into (illegal) pit fighting operations and kennels. The local police and Animal Control agency raids these operations frequently, but the vast network of buildings and underground hideouts makes them nearly impossible to wipe out completely.
Within the Ganglands, animals (predominantly large fighting dog breeds) keep combat inside of the pit and fastidiously keep records of wins, losses, draws, forfeitures, and disqualifications.
Old Market Street is gritty, foreboding, and constantly being eroded by Time and neglect.
