The age four cat walked slowly down the street, jumping on trashcans whenever she could, or if she saw a fence she would walk on it, she didn't know why, but it made her feel free.
Her beautiful fur was now covered in dirt and tears, her ribs could easily be seen, and on the back of her neck there was dried blood and four scratches.
she did not know where she was going or why. She only wanted to keep going 'till the end of the world.
She stopped and smelled the air, her keen eyes searched trough the ground, she was now standing on a trashcan. Suddenly all noises vanished, all she could hear were some small scurrying feet, cars passed by, but there was only one thought on her mind.food.
Staring around she scented the air again, keeping her balance with her tail, she froze as her eyes darted about searching for the warm fresh food.
But finally after 3 minutes or so she gave up, jumping on a window ledge she closed her eyes, she could hear the cars passing by again, some distant barks, the sound of scurrying feet was gone, and the smell was very dim. But yet, it was still there, the fresh smell, as she opened her eyes she saw a small white mouse, with large ears and small eyes.
Standing up and jumping almost noiselessly to the pavement she crouched low.The mouse was darting from place to place, probably searching for food.It all seemed to happen in a second she sprang into action, her legs stretched and her sharp claws showed, she bit into the mouse's skin maybe before the mouse knew it, he was dead.
Micaela, shook the mouse until she knew it was dead, then she dropped it on the pavement and bowed her head slightly, whispering slowly "thanks for this food."
As she gnawed at the food she remembered her masters daughter, how she would sit next to her as she ate, she would give Micaela bits of her food...
When she came back to herself she noticed she had finished eating the mouse, I must have been really hungry... she thought, the only things left were some bones and a small pool of blood.
She cleaned her paws for a second then climbed her way to the trashcan then to the window edge, as she stared into the room of the building it seemed as if no one was there, so she lied down and examined the streets.
