((How is with joininng the Limestone Street Legionnaires? I wish Missy to be in .)) Her short legs were moving quickly, she was almost running, with her body pressed to the stone fence. Missy stopped from time to time and listened if someone was behind her. But then she stepped quickly again. Somehow she resembled to a mouse that searched its night snack. Missy stopped again, with her black nose lifted to the sky. So many new scents around here. She needed to be careful. Some dogs were very possessive to their territories and Missy really didn't want to fight. A car drove past her and she lowered even more, making herself invisible. When the machine went its way, she started to walk again. Her curled tail was almost between her legs, showing that she means no harm. I'm just passing this street guys. No need to chase me of.Missy was scared. In this street she smelled a lot of dogs. And humans too. And... food! "Ah! Somebody above loves me," she quietly cried with happiness in her voice. She just saw a human throwing away some leftovers . Missy waited he left and then sneaked to trash can. But... it was too high! "Damn it! Why aren't those things as high as me?" with an angry look in her chocolate eyes she sat down, thinking what to do.

Josephine ran, her golden ears flopping in the wind. But when she smelled a dog nearby, she screeched to a hault. Getting a closer look, she saw a small dog, probably a mixed-breed, sitting sadly by a trash can that was way to tall for her to reach.
"Why aren't those things as high as me?"
Josephine approached the little dog, her tail wagging. "Because if they were, there'd be no space for the treasure lurking inside." Josephine stood up on her hind legs, peeking into the trash can. She made a face. "Yech...there isn't much treasure in here. Just some rotten, moldy food." She got back down on all fours and looked at the dog. "Wait just a minute. I'll be right back." Josephine ran off.
After a couple minutes, she reached The Fort and started looking around. There's gotta be something...BINGO! Her eyes finally fell on a small, unopened bag of kibble. Perfect! She thought as she piched up the bag and headed back to the dog.
When she got back, she lay the bag down, ripping a hole in it. Some of the food spilled on the sidewalk, but most of it remained in the bag, giving off a tempting scent. "Help yourself," Josephine said with a smile, "I'm Jo-I mean Slipstream." She was still getting used to using her codename to introduce herself.

Missy's ears twitched and she frowned when she sensed someone else behind her. She quickly turned around, guarding her back.
Because if they were, there'd be no space for the treasure lurking inside. Before her stood another dog, wagging her tail. She looked very friendly. Missy watched the another as she stood up to her hind legs and looked inside. "But I don't look for the treasure..." Missy carefully answered.
"Yech...there isn't much treasure in here. Just some rotten, moldy food." Yea, I know. But Missy didn't really have a choice to be picky. She was happy to get something for eat even if it was rotten.
"Wait just a minute. I'll be right back." Missy watched her leave, deciding if she would obey her or not. With a quiet sight Missy sat again. Maybe the other one will not return but no matter. She was used to disappointments since the day humans threw her out of a car. She's back, she though when the dog returned with a bag. As she ripped a hole in it and the food spilled on the sidewalk, Missy cheerfully jumped on her four short legs. This food smelled... nice.
"Help yourself."
"Oh, thanks! I don't know how to repay you but I will somehow," as quickly she finished the sentence, she started to eat.
I'm Jo-I mean Slipstream.
Missy lifted her head from the food, thinking about what has she just said.
"Nice to meet you, Jo-Slipstream. A strange name you have. I'm Missy by the way," now she wagged her tail too.

"Oh, thanks! I don't know how to repay you but I will somehow,"
Josephine smiled. "There's no need to repay me," she said kindly, "Then again, the Legion is a little low on members..."
"Nice to meet you, Jo-Slipstream. A strange name you have. I'm Missy by the way,"
Josephine laughed. "No, my name is Slipstream. Just Slipstream. It's a pleasure to meet you Missy. Do you have a human?"

"I see. Then nice to meet you, just Slipstream," Missy chuckled.
"Do you have a human?" Her smile suddenly faded away.
"I used to have them once. I think. I don't look at them as my humans. They definitely didn't look at me as their dog," Missy grabbed some food again and ate.
After that she took a good look at Slipstream. "I'm sure you're not that lucky with them as I am, am I right? Your fur isn't enough filthy for a stray dog like me."
Missy glanced at her skinny body, covered with dark fur. White and cream tones looked more like muddy brown, knots of filthy fur were covered with dust, grass and leaves were tangled in them too.
"You sure don't need a bath as badly as I," Missy chuckled again. "You mentioned a Legion before... What is that? Do you and your friends play war? Or do you just have problems with a rival pack?"

"I used to have them once. I think. I don't look at them as my humans. They definitely didn't look at me as their dog,"
Josephine whined. So she's been abandoned. Poor girl, I've got to get in contact with Hadrian.
"You mentioned a Legion before... What is that? Do you and your friends play war? Or do you just have problems with a rival pack?"
Josephine frowned. "I wish it was a game. We have some trouble with the Old Market Street Gang. Our leader's brother is the leader of the Gang. Things can get pretty hairy." Josephine looked at the dog. "But that's all I can say unless you decide to join the Legion. I'm sworn to secrecy."

I wish it was a game. We have some trouble with the Old Market Street Gang. Our leader's brother is the leader of the Gang. Things can get pretty hairy. But that's all I can say unless you decide to join the Legion. I'm sworn to secrecy.
Missy listened to her carefully. It seemed that they have been in real trouble. Once or twice in her life she saw the fight of two gangs. It didn't end nice.
...unless you decide to join the Legion... she listened to that over and over again in her mind. It would be good if she has home somewhere. But to be involved into street fights. Missy slightly shook her head to get rid long fur that partly blocked her sight and revealed one round deep brown eye.
"Soooo..." she began slyly. "Your Legion is short with members and I'm curious about those wars... What can you offer?" She was a stray dog who trust nobody and all her life she went by this line Give me or I'll take it. Nothing else worked anyway.
"Oh, I'm so sorry. You've already gave me food," Missy quickly corrected herself. "But anyway, this is only a part of what you can offer. You see, I wish to join but then I need roof over my head, food and ...*cough*... someone to love me," the last one she more mumbled than said. With this she didn't mean a mate (well, maybe later) but someone that will accept her and like her and so. Just for cuddle. To know that she belong to someone.
"You won't be sorry if you accept me," she continued. "I'm loyal, good at listening to the boss's orders- if they are reasonable of course- and I won't betray friends for my life. So, what do you say?"

Shila lazily lifted her sleepy head off the comfortable blanket drapped over her mistress's bed. Hannah had left for the day, the house keepers were busy with their cleaning and she had not seen Storm all day. She had no idea where he was, the little punk, she thought with a grin. She slowly stood and gracefully stepped off to the floor, giving a good, long stretch followed by a good shake. Her honey brown eyes peered down the hallway, searching for any signs of life. She heard nothing-it seemed that the house keepers were also gone now. She trotted out, glancing into the different rooms until she entered the expanse of the living area-nothing-not a sound. She hit the dog door to the backyard, the warmth of the sun warming her soul as well as her pelt. She could normally find Storm out in the backyard-he hated to be cooped up inside, but he was not here either. Her eyes flew to the spot in the fence where a few boards were loose where she'd on several occasions had seen the naughty Storm slip out. A frown crossed her maw; she'd have to confront him once again about leaving the yard-if the Mistress found out, she'd skin him alive!
A sound caught her attention-the sound of paws moving quickly along the way accompained by the sound of fur against the fence. The slightest movement caught her eyes-a hint of gray fur just at the level of the stone barrier across the back of her yard. She trotted to the fence in curiosity, just quick enough to see a small gray dog scurry by. She watched it stop not too far down, next to a trash can, which the short dog tried to reach up. She smiled, though she couldn't understand why anyone would want to get into a trash can...Before too long, she noticed the arrival of a tan and white dog, a border collie that she had seen around quite often in the time she had lived here. She was so bored, and lonely at that with Storm MIA. She saw the two dogs talking, then the larger of the two suddenly turn and run into the park that spanned behind the houses of the street. It was not long before the dog reappeared, a bag of something in its mouth.
Shila was barely able to contain her curiosity, and found herself looking to the loose boards of the wooden side fence....what if....What was she thinking! Leave the yard? Storm's bad habits were rubbing off on her! But...she couldn't resist the urge, and scampered towards fence. Before she could stop herself, she found herself on the other side of the fence. She froze, eyes wide in wonder. So this was the other side....Voices down the way brought her back to reality, and she shook off the new feeling, righting herself, and trotted down toward where the two females stood.
As she neared, she could tell that the bag the tan and white had brought had contained food, which the short gray female was greatfully was eating.
"You won't be sorry if you accept me," she continued. "I'm loyal, good at listening to the boss's orders- if they are reasonable of course- and I won't betray friends for my life. So, what do you say?" She only clearly caught the last statment from the little gray female as she came upon them.
"I'm sorry for interrupting. I couldn't help but be curious as I saw you run by my fence. I just wanted to say hi, and..."she paused, knowing that she sounded pretty lame. She was usually much better with introductions. "I was wondering if you have seen a big black and white brute about lately-I'm missing one, and our Mistress will be most upset if he's not back before she gets home." She looked at the two. One, the tan and white, was neatly kept, while the other, the gray, was not-and appeared to be a stray. She smiled to them both. She didn't meet very many new faces these days of her own species, and it was nice to actually be talking to other dogs.
"I'm sorry-so terribly rude of me-My name is Shila, or as many call me, Fairbanks." she added quickly after she realized she'd not introduced herself properly.
((OOC: sooo sorry about the length! I have a bad habit of writing long posts...))

Missy suddenly frowned. She and Slipstream were not alone anymore. She smelled the air and scent of another dog came into her snout. Again behind her back. She hated that kind of situations so she turned around immediately, looking at an unknown dog. I'm sorry for interrupting. I couldn't help but be curious as I saw you run by my fence. I just wanted to say hi, and... new one started. Missy answered nothing. She calmed down a little as the newcomer didn't represent any threat. I was wondering if you have seen a big black and white brute about lately-I'm missing one, and our Mistress will be most upset if he's not back before she gets home. She looked up to Slipstream then turning her round, teddy bear like head to another dog. "Black and white brute?" she asked slowly and cautiously. "I would say no. I came early in the morning but seen no one. But maybe he just took another direction so I couldn't see him..."I'm sorry-so terribly rude of me-My name is Shila, or as many call me, Fairbanks.Missy blinked. Why do all around here, well, those she met, have two names? At first Jo- something who's now Slipstream, and now Shila, called Fairbanks. Is this somehow connected to the Legion thing? "And I'm Missy, the Tramp Lady," she said sarcastically but without intention to be mean. She was often sarcastic when it came to something she didn't understand or others hide something from her. "I don't want to sound rude, but... Why the hell everybody I met here have two names? Is this connected with Gang fight or what?"Missy hated when she didn't understand something. ((Don't be sorry. I am sorry for short posts . Lol I think I just found a codename for Missy ;D *laughs*.))

Trinket was one of the few birds joined within the Legion. In fact, she was only one the two. And of course, in her opininion the very, very best. She could outshine ol' Hopscotch any day, forget about kestrels! But hey, it was only friendly competition.
With a quick flick of a wing, Trinket landed on a small carton of milk. Never trust a spy...the crow peered across the street, squinting her eyes in to focus. Josephine- ahem, Slipstream, was talking to another dog. An an intruder, perphaps? Or maybe just a hopeful new member. Bleh, whatever.
( Sorry, if ya'll want me to delete this post, I can. ) "But anyway, this is only a part of what you can offer. You see, I wish to join but then I need roof over my head, food and ...*cough*... someone to love me." The other dog said. Well, this was a rather demanding one, now wasn't it? If she wanted to actually survive here, she would at least need to pull her own weight.
"You won't be sorry if you accept me," The female continued, " I'm loyal, good at listening to the boss's orders- if they are reasonable of course- and I won't betray friends for my life. So, what do you say?" That was a lot more like it. Trinket was about to come in and accept her, except some other female came in asking for some white brujo or something of that sort.
I don't want to sound rude, but... Why the hell everybody I met here have two names? Is this connected with Gang fight or what?" Now it was finnally the bird's time to shine. She flew in, hovering above Josephine's head. "G'ev'ning, Slipstream, Fairbanks, and...you. "
" Let me gets this straight with c'hyoo, new no-feather: the first name is our real name, the second is our code. We use them codes for mission purposes, so no one'll know our real name. Got that, no feather? Secondly, y'seem like you have a reasonable enough reason to be accepted. I've got about the same amount of power as Josephi-SlipStream over there, so if I accept you, you're accepted. So basically, you're accepted, unless Slipstream has any objections. You can tell her the code, I'll just been on my way."
